 * Visual Basic 6.0 Runtime files (see below)

2. Installation
---------------
To install Mail-Room Madness, simply run the MailroomMadness_setup.exe program and follow the instructions.

3. Upgrading from a previous version
------------------------------------
If you are upgrading from version 1.1 or later, you can install this new version overtop. You may want to make sure all your custom levels are stored in the folder called CustomLvls, but apart from that, there is no need to uninstall your previous version. Simply run the setup program, selecting the same directory where your previous version was installed, and your copy of Mail-Room Madness will be safely updated.

6. History
----------

What's new in version 1.6?
--------------------------
* More user-written levels added (for a total of 70 levels)
* Warm-up levels moved in with normal game levels
* Minor improvements to graphics and user interface
* Documentation on splash screen modified
* Added "Clear all" button to save/restore game screen
* Added "last saved indicator arrow" to restore game screen
* Added sound for the picking up of a letter
* bug fix - a bomb falling on a reel inside a box was only getting rid of the
  reel and not the box.
* The level editor has been removed (Update to More Mail-Room Madness for more
levels and to have access to the level editor).

What's new in version 1.5b?
---------------------------
* allows the down-arrow key to be used (instead of "x") for picking up
  and dropping objects
* when saving a solution and a solution file already exists, you will be
told how many moves are contained in the solution file that already exists.
* method of writing legend to screen changed since if windows system font
size was set to large it could have messed up.

What's new in version 1.5?
--------------------------
* More levels (in GamePack01 and GamePack02)
* better graphics (finally!)
* new sound effect for fragile packages
* Saving of unfinished levels is no longer 1 save file per level.
Rather, the game now allows for multiple saves and recalls (up to 10)
of an unfinished level. This is helpful in tackling the harder levels
(since you can save at various stages along the way).
* On quitting, prompt appears asking if user wants to save the game
* New introduction screen (with more information)
* Currently selected item in level editor is now highlighted
* Some other minor enhancements to the game interface
* Solutions are now provided without having to visit our website.
* Need to write a new level for the game in order to increase the number
  of move undos available.
* got rid of beeps that occurred when user tried to move in a direction
that wasn't possible (it got to be annoying after a while).
* secret key codes (i.e. cheats) are no longer available (nor needed).
* several minor bug fixes.

What's new in version 1.3?
--------------------------
* changed installation routine (it's now simpler, has an uninstall
routine and allows for a smaller file size overall).
* Added 10 Warm-Up levels (since the biggest complaint was that the
levels were too hard and some simpler ones needed to be added).
* removed "Record" command. Keystrokes are now automatically recorded
and if the level is successfully completed, the user has the option
  of saving the solution.
* Replaced the "Playback" command with the "Solution" command
(which plays back previously saved solution files).
* Now keeps track of which levels have been solved.
* Message displayed when user saves level while playing the game
(previously there was only a "beep").
* Restore and Solution commands are now faded on main screen if
no Save or Solution files exist.
* Several visual changes on the user interface. For example, it now
runs in fullscreen mode and there are new message boxes (with larger
  font size for easier reading).
* Secret Messages now are always revealed when saving a level.
* Added command to toggle sound effects on/off.
* Bug fix - falling elevators containing a reel were changing into
a reel as they fell (and elevator was lost).
* Bug Fix - carriage returns entered in the hint field are now changed
to blanks (so the saved level file doesn't get corrupted).

What's new in version 1.2?
--------------------------
* changed and improved the graphics slightly
* addition of "More" button on introduction screen
* offer of free game for anyone writing a new level.
* offer of customized versions of the game
(see the customize.txt file for details).
* 5 more levels (for a total of 20 levels).

What's new in version 1.1?
--------------------------
The presence of the fm20.dll file is no longer required to run the game. This will hopefully make the game compatible with more versions of Windows. This also required that the graphics be changed slightly.
