Jack,
Great job.... This has shaped up to be exactly what we need... Just a few
things needed so we can package.
1.) Is there a backdoor password available for us to support the program if
the user forgets password? Remember we talked about MMDDYYYYSHELBYCOMPUTER
to generate a password that could be put in that would be valid for the day
so that a user could get in and then change his/her password.
2.) Can you make us a little support utility that we can run to recover a
locked file from it's internal byte pattern, in case a user has a locklist
or severe problem that we need to fix a file?
3.) Can you have the installation routine also create a desktop icon for
FileSafe UI?
4.) In the FileSafe UI can you move the "Number of Files Locked" and "Show
grid lines" controls to the bottom of the list and at the top show a Status
in Large FOnts of whether or not the list is locked or unlocked along with
a lock icon of locked or unlocked?
5.) Can you please change the version number to 2.1
6.) In the Preferences dialog, please change the text "Files or Directories
can not be locked" to "Files or Directories that can not be locked".
7.) Please set Bitmap Menus to not be default on. Let's let them choose
this and make text as default.
8.) In the installation can we add a software license agreement text box
that the user has to choose OK to continue installation. The text of this
should be drawn from a file license.txt and I will send you this file.
9.) Also, on install, just after completion can we have a for that has
check boxes for "View README" and "Launch FileSafe" that would shell out a
notepad for README file and/or shell FileSafe UI?
Thanks Jack...This should rap things up and allow us to package and
distribute to our client...You have done excellent work...If you ever get
board with Toyota, just let me know. We have plenty to do around here and
would love to have back with us...
Thanks,
Mark JOrdan
