Cataloging your Collection

 

When you first start the application, you must populate the
database with your mp3 collection.

That is done with the following screen:

 

 

1. Directory Selection Controls
2. Disk Editing Control
3. Directory Editing Control
4. Track Editing Control

Steps to Catalog your collection:

  • Use the Directory Selection controls to specify where your mp3 collection resides. This could be one of your hard drives or your cd drive. Point the directory list at the top level drive for your collection.

  • If you are cataloging a new disk, enter the Name and the drive to be used in the Disk Editing Control.

  • Once you have entered the disk, ensure that the disk is selected (you will see an arrow beside entry).

  • Select the Catalog Disk Menu Item.

Once your mp3s have been cataloged, your screen should look similar to this one.

Complete the above until you have cataloged all of your collection.

At this point, you will need to shut down the application and restart it (I will fix this in a later version).
