ShutOff 2000 v2.40 allows the user to minimise the window to the system tray (with full functionality - see below), as well as saving the various options in the Windows registry. Another feature of ShutOff 2000 v2.40 is the ability to detect another instance, and prevent multiple instances from running.
To register your copy of ShutOff 2000, visit http://www.e-llusion.co.za/ and click on Software. Alternatively, simply click here to open the automatic registration page.

Windows XX on \\COMPUTER: This displays which operating system you are using, and the name of your workstation. The workstation name is cropped to the first fifteen characters.
Log Off [User]: This button will perform a standard log off on the current user logged in. The username is cropped to the first eight characters.
Shut Down: This button will perform a standard shutdown.
Reboot: This button will perform a standard reboot.
Power Down: This button will perform a standard power down.
Force log off or shutdown: Forces any of the above options, which does NOT save any open files.
Disable Confirmation: Turns off the annoying "Are you sure" confirmation message boxes. It also disables the "minimise or close" option when closing ShutOff 2000, and is enabled when using the Advanced tab.
Minimise ShutOff when loaded: Starts ShutOff 2000 minimised with an icon in the system tray. If ShutOff 2000 is running minimised when closed from the system tray, it will set this option to On.
Clear: Removes ShutOff 2000 settings from the registry.
Save: Saves ShutOff 2000 settings in the registry.
The Advanced screen offers the user a delay option to log off or shutdown the workstation.

Time remaining (in seconds): This option (minimum 20 seconds) allows the user to set a delayed log off or shutdown. This option relies on the Shutdown method, which lists the four ways to log off or shutdown the workstation (Log Off, Shutdown, Reboot, Power Down).
Start will start the timer, and if the user wishes to abort the shutdown method, he or she may click on Abort to cancel it. The timer will be reset to 20 seconds.
Please note: The delayed shutdown forces the "Disable confirmation" box to be checked, so that any confirmation message boxes will not interrupt the scheduled shutdown. When ShutOff 2000 is started again, this option will be set to On. This option also checks the status of the "Force" option, so use this with care.
The Advanced tab is disabled in the unregistered version.
The About screen includes the Registration information of the user, plus a link to open this Help file, and a link to the E-llusion Interactive website.

Registration Key: Click here to enter your valid registration code that was emailed to you.
{Help}: Opens this help file.
The ShutOff 2000 Registration screen allows the user to obtain full functionality in ShutOff 2000.

It has been modified in this version to allow the user to enter his or her full name (at least eight characters long) and the registration key sent to him or her via e-mail. All prior registration keys will not work on this version, and all registered users are required to e-mail us at info@e-llusion.co.za to obtain a new key.

ShutOff 2000 v2.40 is fully functional from the system tray (except for delayed shutdowns). Each of the options can be controlled by right-clicking on the ShutOff 2000 icon, and then left-clicking on the respective menu item. The Force and Disable options will show a tick when either is enabled, and the Log Off option shows the current logged in user as well.
