The 'Choose Connection' screen allows you to choose either a DSN connection or a DSN-less or OLEDB connection for your database. See below for details.
If you choose to a DSN connection, you may either type the DSN into the DSN field, or click the Choose DSN button to choose your DSN from a standard Windows ODBC dialog box.
Choosing the DSN-less or OLE DB option enables you to enter your complete connection string directly into COM-Gen 2000TM, thereby allowing you to utilize any ADO compatible provider supported by COM-Gen 2000TM, including ODBC for a DSN-less ODBC connection. Keep in mind that COM-Gen 2000TM will attempt to make the connection using only the connection string that you enter. Therefore, make sure that you use all arguments required by whichever provider you wish to use. If you are unsure about the syntax required by the provider you wish to use, please consult that provider's documentation. Optionally, you can click the Choose OLE DB Provider button and make your selection from the OLE DB Connection Builder dialog box.
