Setup the Virtual Root

The Ez4file uses virtual root to protect server system. Only Built-in Administrator logged on from local machine can see the real directories on the server.

An Administrator, which is different from the Built-in Administrator, can see virtual directories only.

To setup a virtual root:

  • Logon as Built-in Administrator,

  • In the configuration window, click on "Root" on navigation bar in left pane,

  • Enter alias in the "Alias" field,

  • Enter the full path name of a real directory in the "Full path name" field,

  • check the checkbox if you want Ez4file to create a directory automatically if it's not exist,

  • Click "OK".
